About the Local Table:
The Local Table is the first pop-up dinner concept in Jordan. Each dinner is a private affair with like mined people sharing an inspirational menu of multiple courses, in unpredictable venues.
We are people passionate about food; innovative local artisan food. We simply want to share this with people who are eager to try the exciting and the unusual. We depend on amazing local suppliers who share our passion and values, for the best local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients and products available.
About Chef Sereen Kurdi:
Chef Sereen is the owner of The Local Table. After graduating with merit from the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (under Les Roches at the time), Sereen was awarded a full scholarship to study at Kendall College in Chicago. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was then hired by Chef Marcus Jernmark of Aquavit (two Michelin stars) in New York. She moved back to Amman and began teaching at the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, before accepting a position as head chef for Her Majesty Queen Noor Al Hussein. In 2015, she founded The Local Table, Jordan’s first pop-up dinner concept, focused on having a dinner fully sourced from local and organic products, while supporting local artisan food producers.
In July 2021, Hospitality News Middle East magazine named Sereen as one of the kitchen’s hottest rising stars.
